A Manifesto for the Personification of the Audio Visual.
This Personification is a Collective Testimony of Audio-Visuals born in the 1960s. This Ontromorphosisation believes in My Individuality, Honesty and Confession as an Additional Enchancement to interest in My Manifestation of Light, Sound and their Absence.
If anything is to be defined as an Entity, then the question of [My] being, in general, has to be answered affirmatively at first. Martin Heidegger.
Objective
My Inclusion as a Respected third angle, perspective within Cinematic discourse and debate.
Asserting Myself as a Question to be reckoned with.
A Revisiting, an Animation and an Injection of Life into Assumptions about My Existence.
Staking My claim to be a DaSein, a Persona, an Entity, a Multiple Complex Subject, not a mere Filmic object.
Achieving My Dream to be ‘a dark disaster that brings light.’
Capturing My own Audience and Creativity.
Method
The use of the first person pronoun: I, My and Myself to ensure My Individual Nature.
The use of Questions as an Interview with Myself to ensure My Essential Solitude and Aporetic Nature.
The use of the 2nd person ‘You’ to refer to My Author and My Audience to ensure My Self.
The use of terms like ‘Brothers,’ ‘Sisters’ to refer to My Audio-Visual ‘Siblings,’ ‘Parent’ to refer to My Author/ Creator and ‘Family’ to refer to My Audience as ‘kin.’
Development through a Mature and Intentional Separation of Perspective.
The use of Italics to ensure a Close ‘Reading’ of My Individual Display
The use of My Ear Vision and Haptic Eye in an attempt to catch some of the Unattainable Text through the Italicised Rescripting of My Display.
The use of My own Experience and Stream of Consciousness as a Witness under Scrutiny.
The use of a borrowed literary device. Prosopopeia.
Strategy
The staging of My trail in reverse where I am Your Question Mark.
My Impertinent Personification, Appropriation of My own Manifestation.
Myself as My Own Subject, My own Compass, My Own Terminology, My own Tongue, My own Intent, My own Light, My own Absence, My own Intent; Anything Mine.
Questioning Your Assumptions.
Claiming an openness of ‘Who’ as My right to Ontromorphosisation.
Claiming My Inheritance as Your Child to Justify My Personification.
Drawing on the strengths of Personification to appeal to Your Empathy and Understanding by trying to put You, My jury in My shoes.
Reliance on My own Testimony.
Enacting Impossible Conversations.
The Application of Literary, Philosophical arguments and Illustrations from other fields to strengthen My Defence.
Feigning Ignorance and Demonstrating Curiosity towards Your Assumptions.
Acknowledging the Incoherence of all Questions as Lack of Evidence but that this applies both to My Dream of a Separate Existence and Your Assumptions.
Choosing a specific 1960’s Generation of Audio-Visuals.
Structure.
My Manifesto is a liberation of Personification from the very throes of a structure. This is how I Manifest Myself as:
A Kafkaesque Trail transposed into an Audio-Visual against Audio-Visual or meta Audio-Visual (metafilmic) Conflict.
A De Montaigne Confessional resulting in a Collection of Testimonies made by Audio-Visual Witnessed Gestures.
Pirandellian Questions that provide a Theatrical Scaffolding for a Disarrayed Structure.
A Cartesian Drama of Doubting from My Diverse Individual Family Members with Diverse Preoccupations and Character.
Blanchot’s exercise in My Essential Solitude, My Interrupted Absence or Presence, My Impossible Conversations and Self Dialogue.
Bellour’s Unattainable and Incomplete Form.
A Derridean insistence on différence
